He is an architect from ETSAB and has a master’s degree in urban sociology fromUniversiteit van Amsterdam. He works at the intersection between the social and the spatial, specifically in projects of citizen participation in architecture and urban planning, and doing research on cooperative housing. He teaches in various international programs in Barcelona (UAB, CEA, and University of California) and has been a visiting professor at the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at the University of Calgary. He is one of the founding members of Lacol, an architects cooperative that works with architecture for social transformation, as a tool to intervene in the immediate environment in a critical way. Lacol has been awarded with several recognitions (guardian at the Mostra d’Arquitectura Catalana de Barcelona, Ciutat de Barcelona Prize 2018, Prize BBConstrumat on built architecture 2018, AJAC Prize 2018) and has been selected in the biennials of architecture in Venice (2016, 2021), Buenos Aires (2017) and San Sebastián (2019).
